Named the world’s smartest company in 2014, Good Earth Plant Company’s interiorscape relationship with Illumina first started in 1995 at its then new headquarters in the UTC area of San Diego. We were brought in by Tim Schultz of Pacific Cornerstone Architects to design and install a blend of real and replica plants into terraced planters that bordered the feature stairway from lobby to second floor. We also created a large 30’ wide by 15’ tall indoor waterfall that dominated the employee lounge. Sicne then we have followed Illumna to its new campus headquarters and even newer facility called “I3”.

We used the unusually shaped “origami” planter and a ficus Alii to mimic the trees seen through the window.

Planter with Aloe Vera succulents were chosen to mirror the Aloe as seen through the window. White rocks were sued for top-dressing.
