The buds are bursting, hotels are filled and days are longer. It must be spring in San Diego. It’s also time for the Good Earth Plants crew to sweep up and dust off our warehouse and demo garden so we can show off some exciting new projects at our Open House and Plant Sale on Friday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Opening the doors to guests is a great way for us to see our operation with fresh eyes. Our talented staff coaxes new growth to show off our living wall displays and our now seven-year-old green roof, one of the first in San Diego. Remember what it looked like years back? You’ll be amazed to see how we have encouraged an entire ecosystem (complete with butterflies) on top of our office building.
Living walls have become hugely popular and we will have a ModuloGreen wall and a VPG system fully planted and on display for guests to see. Our staff will be everywhere and we encourage questions and inquiries on pricing.
Our office Aquaponics system is bubbling along.
Our Aquaponics display has helped us grow kitchen-ready basil with lush green leaves, and no dirt is needed. This 20-gallon fish tank is an office pet of ours and the staff enjoy gazing at the fish and the basil plants.
I enjoy watching faces light up when they see our new smaller living wall plant systems available for sale. Do you have an open wall in your home that needs something green and adds oxygen to your environment? Indoor plants create oxygen and clean the air. We have a “Plant Portrait” setup that is ready to plant and hang on an indoor wall, a “Suite Plants” wall unit ready to plant indoors and two more additional wall systems that will be available for sale. In addition to the living wall displays, the Good Earth Plants crew has been busy bringing out all sorts of inventory for this year’s plant sale. Prices are VERY low and staff will be available to answer your questions on how
to best care for your new plant or flower. We want you to feel informed and confident caring for your new plant at home. We will help you wrap up your plant and help you load it in your car or truck at no additional charge.
